What is 5G?

It is the fifth generation of the technology you use every day when you’re surfing on your phone. Before that, we had 4G(+) and it’s quite simple: 5G is more reliable, faster, and better. So you can stay connected at any time and without any problems even when you’re in busy places like festivals or concerts.

How does it work?

All phones are connected to the same network. This happens through the transmission of electromagnetic waves. With 5G everything stays fundamentally the same as it was previously, only the radio frequencies are partly higher and the software is better, which makes everything faster for you.

What about my health?

No need to worry! The leading international organizations as well as numerous national health authorities say that no health risks are to be expected. If you are still concerned about radiation, you should be in favor of 5G. That's because compared to older mobile technologies, radiation is reduced overall.

Science-Fiction

But that's not all. 5G can do so much more. Imagine a world where you shop in a VR store, the lights at home interact with the sun blinds, heating, etc. with each other and with your phone, your car drives itself.... Ultimately, the 5G network is not only for your leisure, but also a great help for businesses.

Faster than ever

But let’s get to some numbers. How fast is 5G actually? Compared to the previous generation of technology you can load your content up to 10 times faster!!! This gives you an even smoother experience when you’re gaming, streaming or surfing.

Should I use it?

If your phone allows you to use the 5G network, do so. It is not only faster, but also more stable and efficient, because there is much more capacity in the 5G network than in the 4G network.

Which phone do I need?

All recent phones, with a few exceptions, will run on the 5G network. But even older models are also able to do so. If you’re unsure, just ask the Internet whether your model supports 5G – you should be able to find an answer very easily.
