Screen brightness
A bright screen is great, but it also eats your battery. So minimize the brightness of your screen to save battery easily. You can also adjust the automatic brightness in the Display & Brightness setting. This way, the screen always adjusts itself to your environment.
If you are already in the settings, you can also simply switch your iPhone to Dark mode. This way you can also save battery easily.
Optimized Charging
In the settings, you can also activate optimized battery charging under Battery > Battery status & charging process. It is also worthwhile if you never charge your iPhone from 0 to 100%. If possible, charge it a little bit at a time. It is better not to leave your iPhone on the charging cable overnight.
Location services
Your iPhone and all your apps are not only connected to the yallo network, but also constantly send out GPS signals. Again, you can make few settings to protect your battery a bit better. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services and turn off location services. If you don't want to turn everything off, you can also manage GPS settings for individual apps.
Switch off push notifications
Do you want more battery and some peace and quiet? Then it is a good idea to manage the push notifications of the individual apps. Go to Settings > Notifications and decide which apps you want to continue receiving notifications from. You will not only save your battery but also your well-being at the same time.
Auto lock
Auto lock protects your battery by automatically locking your iPhone when not in use. It's best to set this to 30 seconds. You can find the setting here: Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto Lock.
Background update
The apps on your iPhone update constantly. However, this is not really necessary. Therefore, we recommend adjusting the setting. This can be done easily under Settings > General > Background update.
If you are already in the settings, you can also simply switch your iPhone to Dark mode. This way you can also save battery easily.
Turn off unnecessary wireless connections
Turn off your WiFi, Bluetooth and Airdrop when you don't need it. Otherwise, your iPhone is constantly searching for a possible connection, which is not very good for your battery. You can easily turn off the connections in the control center. To do so, swipe down from the top right corner.
Update iOS
Make sure you always have the latest software installed on your iPhone. Just check your version under Settings > General > Software Update. If an update is available, you will see it there and can easily install it.
WLAN instead of mobile data
If you are at home or in a building with WiFi, it is always smarter to connect your iPhone to the WiFi network. When you surf via WiFi, you use less battery.
Apple charging cable
It's worth charging your iPhone with Apple's official charging cable and power adapter. It's more expensive than alternatives, but it's better for your iPhone. So for the longevity of your iPhone, it's worth buying a more expensive charging cable.
Quit apps
If you don't quit Apps they will still run in the background. So it's best to quit your apps regularly. To do this, swipe up on the Home screen and quit all apps by swiping up.
