Screen brightness

A bright screen is great, but it also eats your battery. So minimize the brightness of your screen to save battery easily. You can also adjust the automatic brightness in the Settings > Display > Adaptive brightness. Here you can toggle the setting to be ON. This way, the screen always adjusts itself to your environment.

Optimized Charging

Go to Settings > Battery and device care here you press Battery > More battery settings. Now you can turn on optimized battery charging. It is also worthwhile if you never charge your phone from 0 to 100%. If possible, charge it a little bit at a time. It is better not to leave your phone on the charging cable overnight.

Location services

Your phone and all your apps are not only connected to the yallo network, but also constantly send out GPS signals. Again, you can make few settings to protect your battery. Go to Settings > Location and turn off location services. If you don't want to turn everything off, you can also manage GPS settings for individual apps. In Location settings simply click on App permissions and set up location services individually per App.

Switch off push notifications

Do you want more battery and some peace and quiet? Then it is a good idea to manage the push notifications of the individual apps. Go to Settings > Notifications > App settings and decide which apps you want to continue receiving notifications from. You will not only save your battery but also your well-being at the same time.

Auto lock

Auto lock protects your battery by automatically locking your phone when not in use. It's best to set this to 30 seconds. You can find the setting here: Settings > Lock screen > Secure lock settings. Now you can adjust your settings as you please.

Background update

The apps on your phone update constantly. However, this is not really necessary. Therefore, we recommend adjusting the setting. This can be done easily under Settings > Connections > Data usage > Mobile data usage. Select an app from below the usage graph and turn off Allow background data usage.

Turn off unnecessary wireless connections

Turn off your WiFi, Bluetooth and hotspot when you don't need it. Otherwise, your phone is constantly searching for a possible connection, which is not very good for your battery. You can easily turn off the connections in the control center. To do so, swipe down from the top right corner.

Software Update

Make sure you always have the latest software installed on your phone. Just check your version under Settings > Software/System Update. If an update is available, you will see it there and can easily install it.

WLAN instead of mobile data

If you are at home or in a building with WiFi, it is always smarter to connect your phone to the WiFi network. When you surf via WiFi, you use less battery.

Quit apps

If you don't quit Apps they will still run in the background. So it's best to quit your apps regularly. Tap or long press the Overview button in the lower-left or lower-right corner of your screen. Swipe up an app to close it.
